Even though I've been listening to them for a couple of years now, I still consider myself somewhat of a new fan compaired to most of you. Oddly enough, they still get quite a bit of listens within a week. If it's not NO, then it's JD or one of the side projects. It's like I can't go on without my weekly dosage of True Faith, TPK, Temptation, and TBTHOG. I made this poll to see how many of the older fans out there still listen to them as much as they did years ago.

I probably listen to at least 5 to 7 NO (or related projects) tracks per day on average...usually in the car..
More than once a day!
Todays favourites are: Brutal, Everything's Gone Green (live), Procession (live), Paradise (Remix), Lonesome Tonight ...all taken from "Retro" :)
I go thru phases where all I listen to is JD/NO, then there are days where they really don't fit with the rest of the cds in my player or else I'm a bit tired of it. So "more than once a month" should apply for me.
How many of you are the only ones in your household who LISTEN to New Order or Joy Division? I've tried sharing their music with my sister and brother, but they haven't taken to it. Damn kids.....
More then once a week for me. Maybe more but that's depending on what kind of mood I am. I've had some rare moments where JD/NO wasn't played for a couple of weeks (forgive me for I have sinned)
I play NO/JD once for every time I play anything else. My wife thinks that it has become 'unhealthy' NOOL, Making compilations, listening to all the albums. It is pretty time consuming.
Originally posted by Martin Davies i need to hear joy division or new order every day otherwise i will go bonkers.
seems pretty much the way I feel also
When Technique came out, I listened to it about 6 times a day. That lasted about 6 months, give ot take. PCL was worse. That lasted years. Ditto on Electronic. Friends stopped coming by. I had over 1,000 albums but chose these as my own mainstream.
the real answer is not often enough...really want everyone to get out of the house so I can blast 5 11
As often as possible...I don't have a car and I can't listen to JD/NO at work, so it's just more than once a week now, otherwise it'd be every day. And YESSS...I got my younger brother to like them as well.
Coupla times daily. I'm going through a pretty bleak patch in life right now and I find they do me a lot of good. Uplifting, y' know.
A few years ago I used to push play buttom just after finishing the disc/tape. I used to criate NO/JD tape compilations every week, and I couldn't (and wouldn't) hear any other band. By now, I hear them at special moments of happiness, sadness, rememberings etc., but I still put them both on the highest place of any podium, and I think it will be like this forever.
Everytime i play Virtual Pool 3 online, i run winamp, play my NO dir, put it on shuffle play... and loose. :(
It used to be ALL DAY LONG, when I was a labourer on the shop floor, I brought in me record player. I was constant backshift so the Order were on for roughly 3 hours every night, used to drive the rest of the factory banana's
Now it's usually at least once a day, whether it's waking up to Temptation in the morning....and turned up extremely loud on Saturday morns
Or when I'm shaving / showering.....last night it was New Order Remixes followed by a self made Best Of JD.
As and when i fancy, dont deliberatly listen to them every day although there is always at least a couple of CD's in my multichanger so they get fairly heavy rotation.
Gotta agree with Shugzy that Temptation is a great waking up track! (especially the 98 version on the bonus disc!!)
Also i often stick on BLT while im getting ready to go out, its a great 'getting ready' tune :D
iv'e been keeping retro in the glove box of my car, and it's usually my music of choice on my commute to and from work. at the moment the 'club' CD is in heavy rotation in the chevy cavalier.
Persistance pays off. After forcing NO/JD and Electronic on hubbie and kids every day, they are finally appreciating the beauty of it. The kids (5 & 8) like to dance to 3 16, although they had a problem believing that the guys on TOPT2 recently are the same as on the dvd.
