Just seen an advert for a series of popudramas on VH1 this weekend entitled "Sound of the Cities". As you can probably guess, each show takes on a different town (London, Dublin, Sheffield, Liverpool etc.) and its homegrown talent(s). Although I'm pretty upset that my hometown of sunny Stoke-on-Trent is being overlooked, there is a Manchester docu on at 1pm tomorrow, repeated later and again on Sunday (I think). The ad features a late 80s Barney going on about how 'cos it always rains in Mancland, everyone has to stay inside, and as a result a great pop town is born, cos there's nowt else to do. Fantastic logic.
If this has been on before, sorry for being such a boring Johnny-come-lately...
