Just got back from taking my receiver to the repair shop. Had a great time listening to music including New Order at full blast. Use two receivers, my better one for two tower speakers and surround sound, and a cheaper one to drive my 15" woofer and subwoofers. Always air cooled the better one with a fan blowing on it on top. Learned that from the last time the transformer overheated from the same problem and had it repaired. This time the cheaper receiver was getting pretty hot so I moved the fan onto that one. Within 30 seconds my better one went dark and shut down from overheating. Advice learned, have two fans one for each receiver or amp. Otherwise its back to a boombox or a walkman for partying. Definitely not as good. When I'm cranking the music up it is as if the band is right there in my room playing except with 8 less feet to step on all the mess I have on the floor. Ha! Ha! Bad enough when I step on it. Crunch, Crunch. Oh well, almost time for a beer. Adios
