Well, here's to our new Survivor with Substance

Just a reminder, the rules:

First person to reply can claim immunity for a song
Immunity will stop when 3 songs will be left
The song with the most votes is eliminated daily
All votes for a song that has immunity are void
Tie breaker is previous votes

You can't choose immunity two days in a row

There are 2 new rules, I will track the elimination history and the immunity history.

Man, it's getting tricky now.

BLT has to go, in my opinion : the 12 inch version that's on Substance is just massively inferior to the Brotherhood mix, IMHO.

Well, that's what got me into New Order...that remix! so it's not such a bad thing isn't it?

In fact, Shep Pettibone did a genius work with New Order tracks IMHO.. the only "problem" is the bass removal, when I heard the Brotherhood version I was torn apart with which version to listen to :D

I think my hatred comes because (a) I saw them do BLT for the first time live at Hemel Hempstead Pavilion and just fell in love with it and (b) they'd had a very "iffy" series of 12 inch singles after Perfect Kiss up until BLT came out - the John Robie abominations of Subculture and Shellshock, and the very disappointing State of the Nation - that I was overjoyed when I heard they were releasing BLT. I was mortified when I heard the Pettibone remix - it just ruined everything that was good about the song : a short sharp 4 minute burst of pure NO electronica at it's best :)

EGG is one of my all time favorite NO songs, I hope it makes it to at least the last 5. Although the substance version of BLT is one of the songs that got me into NO, I'm pretty bored with it these days. I'm voting for BLT.

BLT, I'm fully converted to the Brotherhood version. I'll even prefer the '94 version to the one on Substance.

Sorry but I cannot believe there are 14 better tracks than BLT on Substance. At the moment BLT is heading for the exit. DONT LET THIS HAPPEN.

If I remember well, Lomesone tonight was the winner of a previous poll "your favourite B-side" or something like that...:D
