just imagine that its 1985 again, you're directing 'new order' to make the video for 'the perfect kiss'...

they decide to do an alternate take on it...the musics slightly different from what you remember..

here are the details for the fan edit version of the video for 'the perfect kiss'...

i took the video edit version from a recent release...and combined it with a fan edit of the 'alternate' version of the audio...

if you haven't heard the alternate version, check it out, its got some slightly different effects, and sounds..

the vocals are really quiet..but the instruments are higher in the mix..

it took a few hours, and a lot, (i mean a lot) of editting to get it to match the video version..

however, i really like the result..

someday, i'll try to do it with the full 9min+ version....

this is a HUGE 56Meg file, so i haven't figured out what to do with it...

if anyone's interested, i'll try to figure out how to post it somewhere....

You could always make a DivX avi file. One other way to decrease the size of the file is to encode it as an OGM. Ogg Media files allow the mixing of audio (ogg vorbis) and video (video as DivX or Xvid), into a highly efficient, and cross-platform package. In my experience, a 6 minute video is usually no more than 25megs, and this is with several times the quality of a VCD mpeg-1. If you are going for similar picture size, audio quality to your 56meg creation... then I would guess 13~15megs tops.
