I think the fact that New Order recently did a mini-tour with Moby with the Area:One thingy in the summer is one of the main reasons why there is no news of a forthcoming tour of Northern America.
But I'm sure I read somewhere that they intend to tour there sometime next year; but don't quote me on that.
Also, whilst stating the obvious, the recent events between USA and Afghanistan is another reason why there is no official news as yet.
I'd urge all you Northern Americans to show a bit of patience with New Order - they'll get round to playing in your part of the world when they're good and ready.
I'd waited over 10 years to see New Order before July this year, and so far I've made it to 3 of their gigs this year, with another one to come on Thursday. They are without doubt well worth the wait. In fact, I don't know why I waited sooooo long really.
