Having just received one of Rocket Mick's productions, I'm only now getting to know most of these tracks. Favourite must be Let's go. Whether it's the original version I don't know. Love it live on the TF vid as well.

Agreed.
I like alot of them but Elegia has always been by favorite ever since I first heard it.
But I haven heard: Free Will Lean To The Inside Lucky Bag Radiation Ultra
Where can I find these?
Other x 2:
Here To Stay - Extended Instrumental Vanishing Point - Instrumental Making Out Mix
Free Will
I can never get enough of that song. Really, really emotional, like the only way Benard can express himself.
Eligia is getting on my bad side as of late. I really enjoyed the 17 minute lost version but hearing 3 times on the Box set I find myself hitting "next."
The Kiss of Death?????
When is a dub an instrumental? Or can a dub be considered and instrumental?
ooh, let's go, without a doubt. fantastic song with one of the coolest melodies ever. either with or without lyrics, it's one of my NO favourites.
I go with Free Will. Great dance record and love the sample.
Never have been able to figure it out: is it Barney or did they pilfer it from another artist? (And what the heck is he saying?) ;) I remember Johnny Marr saying he didn't remember where the sample came from.
I quite like Best and Marsh for some reason, shame that the instrumentals were the first to go from Technique survivor, some of the best tunes recorded from that era.
I've been listening to WI(F)M from the 3 16 DVD, and if you dropped the wretched lyrics, rapping, "En-ger-land", it would be a great tune.

No, Elegia started the Glastonbury 87 gig as far as I know!
Cheaters! Instrumental version of songs that usually have lyrics is NOT AN OPTION!
I love the Vanishing Point remix, but this doesn't count!!!

Well, then, let go of Let's Go!
What about Ecstasy and Ninth Configuration and Voytek? Out of the above list, I guess I prefer Radiation. But why did Lucky Bag make it in and not Voytek?
Ecstasy and Let's Go.
Sometimes...when I'm singing Let's Go, I get confused and start singing Can't Let Go by Roxy Music. Weird, but fun and I get to sing songs by 2 of my all time fave groups.
Speaking of instrumentals, would anybody be able to upload the State Of The Nation instrumental for me to hear? I very much would like to, seeing as I'm the original song's only fan lol
Other: Let's Go (live version).
Whenever it's stuck in my head, I don't sing the words, but do a vocal rendition of that fantastic bass riff!!

Wrong, Paddy. Let's Go was an instrumental that had lyrics added for the US market.
I like Thieves Like Us instrumental on the back of the Murder 12".
Also like... Vanishing Point Here To Stay Best & Marsh

Oh yes, my choice too, but it doesn't count as i's really a song! Gotta be Let's Go in that case.

Bad memory.. simply, hence why I put an "other" pick.. I knew I forgot some...
Avalanche, even though it isn't quite a perfect instrumental (love those backing vocals, seriously). However Here To Stay's instrumental version is a very very close second, its energy is fantastic.

No big deal. Nobody else would have voted for them anyways. Am I alone in my obsession of Other Two instrumentals? (as well as all their other songs)

Video 5 8 6 DEFINITELY gets my vote. i think it's one of the most amazing songs ever recorded.

Incubation is definitely an amazing song.
I'm going with "Lean to the Inside". It's a catchy instrumental. "Don't Do It" would be a close second. And then "Avalanche" even though technically there is singing in there. But really, they have TOO many good instrumentals to choose from. Pick one, any one, you can't lose! It's a win-win situation. :)
I could never decide on one. I absolutely love Best & Marsh, for a while it was one of my all time favorite New Order songs, period. I also loved Don't Do it, and the instrumental version of Vanishing Point, as well as Avalanche, Elegia, and Free Will. There is also a tiny snippet in MTO that is great, and Let's Go is of course brilliant too. Free will is a true classic as well. To put it more simply, I could never choose, they've done tons of beautiful instrumentals.
elegia all the way. i love that song. i even used it in a little movie i made not that long ago. boy, was i glad when the long version came out on retro.
