We all know that New Order have had more compilations than most bands have studio albums, but here's a different twist--how about a best of Bernard Sumner, from New Order right through Electronic?

Most of my mates aren't sure how to get started with NO because of the mountain of available material, so I came up with an idea which London Records might want to take up in conjunction with Parlophone at some stage.

It's called Wait Till Tomorrow, and is a mainly pop format arranged to suit the casual listener. Opinions and ideas welcome...

WAIT TILL TOMORROW

  1. Blue Monday '88 Mix
  2. The Perfect Kiss Album Mix
  3. Bizarre Love Triangle '94 Mix
  4. True Faith '94 Mix
  5. 1963 '95 Mix
  6. Round & Round '94 Mix
  7. Getting Away With It Album Mix
  8. Regret Album Mix
  9. For You Album Mix
  10. Temptation '98 Mix
  11. Like No Other Album Mix
  12. Crystal Album Mix
  13. Here To Stay Full Mix

Great idea Monsieur Round&Round, Some Distant Memory is a great title. I'll fiddle around with that...

Sounds a bit morbid! - almost like he's dead and is barely remembered :skeptic:

If your using titles how about using a more positive title, like Get The Message or Make It Happen or Until The End Of time?

Ahhaa! I catch your drift... ;) However i think the "in joke" would be sadly wasted on the majority of the buying public unfortunatly!!

I did one of these self made tapes a few years back when the band were "On their break" it went something like...

Security Feel Every Beat Vanishing Point Temptation Spanish Heart Idiot Country Two Forbidden City As It Is When It Was Good Together Second Nature Run

something like that, and on the other side of the tape it was a mix of Moz & The Sniths.

The cassette was affectionately titled Barney Vs Morrissey:lol:

You've got a point, Don, but if the Order got away with it for the past 22 years, you can't blame me for trying, can you?

Can we include the stuff with ACR, Chemical Brothers, 808 State etc?

He certainly did my friend, and he paid more than that as well!! People know the lengths that Celtic fans will go to get a ticket. There will be an estimated 60,000 Celtic supporters in Seville by Sunday:jawdrop: In today's Daily Record, it had features on Celtic Supporters clubs from places such as Sweden, North America, Australia and Africa....all flying to Spain just to sample the atmosphere (and try to buy a ticket) John is taking his missus and 3 weans out to Spain on Sunday......jammy bastard! There are several other members of the family who also have tickets......of all the years I decide to go to bloody America:nonono: Thanks for asking:thumb:

Idiot Country two? The original is far superior, in my opinion, and has all of the verses.

I would, but haven't read this until now. So here we go:

I like to add "Out Of Control". ;)

BTW: FDISK already asked if we could include Chemical Brothers material.

Agreed, but at the time of recording I liked the Vibe of IC2, and Nicos, I would have added OOC, but this tape was recorded a couple of years before it came out. On the CDR Rocket done for me - OOC IS on it:thumb:

Nothing from Republic? Come on, people!!!

I would certainly add Out of Control, Spanish Heart and THIS TIME I'M NOT WRONG.

But I would not include Security, as it is really cheesy.

"Wait Till Tomorrow"

If only you had mentioned that to WenOrder and Almanso when they were thinking of titles for the CD. I think its really good :)

Thanks Drep....yeah personally I was voting for Digital Republic but unfortunately it was just edged out. Community's pretty good though, it's very New Orderish which I guess is the most important thing.

He's sung 'Magical Dream' live with 808 State as well, although the '90' track has a female vocalist.

Saw him do this at the first (I think they did 2 nights running?) G-Mex gig in March 1990.

Perhaps there's a bootleg somewhere?

Er, nope, Julio. When I said "he's sung 'Magical Dream' live with 808 State as well" what I meant was he's sung 'Magical Dream' live with 808 State as well!

GREAT title for this thread - so unintentionally "Reader's Digest" its funny...... but has anyone here remembered to list Bernard's other ample assets...?

You people disgust me. I don't think "The Breasts of Bernard Sumner" are an appropriate topic to be discussing in this forum.
