recent events have led me to question the validity of johnny giles as a witness - he suffers from halucinations you know.

I was reading on 808 State's website some more about the Crispy Cornflakes / Inviting Tongue's gig next week.

Apparently there may be some DJs, presumably LTM types, called the Shadowplayers who may do some floor to the floor filling.

Could be a good nite, though I suspect there will be an element of chin stroking to the whole proceedings.

Yes, purchAsed a rather fine collection known as the 'Sporadic recordings' or something similar. Signed by the recording artistes to boot.

I shall view the 'tron board asap. Note any common ground between message boards, our colonial cousins & w8nk posts? ;)

The other Durutti Column tribute to Mr. Curtis was called 'Lips That Would Kiss' - it's available on the 'Return of the Durutti Column' cd....and it's an instrumental!

Missing Boy is also on that live from the Bottom Line in NYC cassette that ROIR put out about 15 or so years ago, I think, not sure if it's ever been reissued ( I know that the Television live set has been re-released on vinyl and CD).

I know the footage you mean, but can't really shed any more light.

As an aside, looking at the official DC site, it mentions that "Sleep Will Come" was also dedicated to IC. Seems VR was a bit obsessed!!

And Julio, you don't even need to ask this time... ;)

Not familiar with Hot Hot Heat, and it's my daughter's first birthday anyway!

Off to Sunnyvale 27th to 31st May, so will miss all the good ones. Puressence are at The Scala again, I think.

Yes indeed, it has been re-released. It's called 'A Night In New York' ROIR RUSCD8255. I ordered mine from the official Durutti site. I thoroughly recommend it - although if Vini recorded himself farting I'd probably rate that too! URl= http://www.column.freeuk.com/

Thanks for the news, I for one am glad that those ROIR cassettes are being reissued on CD. Still, I played that tape whilst resting on the bed last night, and just floated away to my own world. *sigh*
