Argh! I've heard it. Friend of mine likes the band very much, but I can't listen to more than 2 songs of theirs at a time without getting a nosebleed. Seriously, their "music" sounds like a sonic car wreck. The band is clearly big fans of Joy Division, although their music doesn't sound much like JD at all, and that song doesn't even make reference to Curtis. I suppose they would sound better if they got a vocalist who could sing instead of wailing out of tune. Very avant-garde, I suppose, but largely unlistenable except in very small doses.

Now then, have you heard their cover of "Ceremony"? Now that's where you hear their real take on Joy Division. Bizarre stuff. Makes me laugh to beat the band...parts anyway.

Saw them live. They were very entertaining, but I agree about small doses and hard to take.

Some of Xiu Xiu's live singing was literally like "mrgldemrgldemrgldebrg" inside his cheeks.

Not sure how to characterize the song as or , it's so bizarre.
