Top show! I was hopeful that they would be good, certainly, as a NO/JD fan I was required to go - but I went out of a sense of "how likely is it that we'll see PH in town again?" than just going to hear a brilliant show.
Well I was pleasantly surprised! I heard lots of clips on Soundcloud, but the energy of The Light is amazing. Hooky is terrific as a frontman. The band is tight, Jack plays his dad's basslines to perfection, and Hooky can break out with the killer riffs on the Shergold when he feels like it. The sound was great, miles better than the NO show at the Austin Music Hall this summer. Epic to hear "Procession," "Warsaw," "Dreams Never End," and "In A Lonely Place" live!
Go see the Light if they come to your town, you won't be disappointed!
