I'm proud of New Order and I'm ashamed of it. The thing about New Order is I love it and that's why I hate it so much, I guess. I have to forget about New Order by remembering them and in another world I wouldn't have New Order to talk about: I'd be too busy talking about New Order! (laughs) It was like Gillian's snatch was prised off you before you won it, so you thought, I'm not thinking any more. Bernard was fucking shit but fortunately Bernard made up for that. Joy Division was all about Dave Hicks because he had nothing to do with Joy Division. I also like the Spice Girls, but I don't understand the Spice Girls - average looking girls with substandard songs, but at least they looked good and sounded even better, I think I suppose. We care too much in Manchester! That's Mancunians, we just don't care!
