Seeking help - Post Ranks — Forum Archive

As you know, the more you post, the more you change your "post rank" to a new level.. it's a little think to make it fun.

I'm working on the new forum interface which should be featured on the Community website very soon, and I just decided there should be post rank for LADIES also...

Of course, some are neutral, but if you can help me find any, it would be nice.

There are 3 rules

a) Must be from an album title b) Must be from a song title c) Must be from the song lyrics

So far I have 2...

it is visible. at least when i sign in.

it is not visisble in your posts. all you can see there is salvation memeber. you can see it when i post above my avatar.

Did anything ever happen with this. Like the Ruined in a Day's Rocking Carol. o0o and the Sister Ray. Don't necessarily think that the M/ - F need the seperation but juggling the names / titles up a bit could be good. Skullcrusher at 2000 or whateverposts is very cool.

yeh but i'm too slack to do this, plus i know it is in the profile, but again it takes that extra mouse click, and not all profiles can be opened.

what if i promised you to become a salvation member if you did that little tweak.

The whole member status issue's just a bit of marketing hype isn't it?

So many of the posters with monster counts just pad up their totals by posting fluff on BCD all day. Hardly relates to New Order.

Can't really see the point of having separate ranks for females - none of the current ranks are really that gender-specific (and you could always change Member of the Brotherhood to Memeber of the Brother-/Sisterhood if you really wanted)...

Not sure that this would be all that appropriate.

It's a shite idea anyway Spotnick, women should be allowed equal rights to be a Weirdo or Dead Soul the same as everyone else!

Reminds me of an interview with that well-known former England Womens Cricketer Rachael Heyhoe-Flint, who when asked if she wore a box said "yes, I do, but we don't call them boxes. We call them manhole covers....."

It's a great idea, Nic, and very timely. The laydeez have claimed their own presence on here of late, and were a fine feature of the last gig: meet-up and gig itself, where a good number of them made it down the front and held their own with the rest of the scum.

Please include "mosher" as one of the higher-ranking posters!

i think it may be a good idea to have posting ranks beyond the 5000 mark, as a number of us have well and truly breached that number.

I guess I have to agre that there shouldn't be gender specific ranks. Some might even consider it sexist. Most of them are already non-specific anyway. Besides, someone already thought of the ones I had in mind.
