Although TPK is almost perfect, it needs the entire 9+ minute production complete with the Hooky intro and Barney's speed-induced guitar work, and the cowbell. The edits ruin it as well ![]()
This Time of Night is a stately, ice-cold track made using the same equipment, probably around the same time. Barney's vocals are more sublte but still emotive at the same time. A class, quality song. It's a tragedy they never performed it live again after Darien Lakes '87 ![]()
So for me it's This Time of Night by a (quarter) mile, both are great tracks, but TTON does it every time.
Thoughts?
. But the 12' version, of course, not that edited mess from the album, lol. Off the album version I only like those few secs of the intro that can also be heard on the Kiss Of Death
