2. Worst bit, @2.34 the drawn out drawl 'riiiigwht' on the last repeat of 'get it right' just tops his drawn out drawl on the previous repetition of 'get it right' at 2.27

3. why you love/hate it, It's funkin hideous, the one song if it was playing somewhere and someone piped up isn't that New Order? aren't they you're favourite band? I'd say erm, erm, erm, "I blame Gillespie", after pretending not to here the question.

1. The guitar sound, it just seems like Barney's more inot a JD mode on certain riffs

2. Bobby G.- It was interesting the first time around to hear someone even more off-key than Barn, but now it's just sad

3. It's got the guitar-based fury of a Komakino or other lesser JD songs

Why I love it(or hate it): Love the fury of the rhythm and the way Barney sings. Just hate the chorus.

Best Part - The Intro Worst Part - Bobby Gillespie's completely gormless vocals Why - The sleazy unhinged quality to the song overall - bit like witnessing some seedy strip show but seeing all the strippers' garments keep getting caught and entangled as they're being pulled off completely out of time to the music .... yee-ha! Rating - 90% (intro) 40% (rest of song.)

I was really disappointed by this song but then i got a copy of the Steve Lamacq Mix (thank you Rocket Mick) and this version does "Rock The Shack".

Its pure shite and is the worst song on Get Ready. It just is not there usual style 10 % and that is being generous

Always loved how Bernard replayed his own riff from Primal Scream's Shoot Speed/Kill Light for RTS.

I'm of the persuasion that "Rock the Shack" is not at all a bad thing.

1. Either the opening or the "Shoot Speed Kill Light" solo (it's well placed, I think).
2. Why did the extra lines from the first verse that appeared in the BBC version not get included in the album version? Also, it's kind of hard for me to accept a "New Order Featuring Someone Else" song. Do they need a crutch? (Hi Santana)
3. I like Primal Scream, so I guess that's a good reason why I like this song. It's not typical of them, but several of their great songs are not. It sounds like a bit like a jam because it's loose and not polished, but the original "Temptation" is kind of a jam and not polished. There are lots of pieces flying everywhere, like that squealing noise in the Bobby Gillespie verse, but "She's Lost Control" (the 12" version) has noises coming in and out, too. It's a fine song.

3. a totally lame attempt to make a Stooges style rock song. the song drags on and on. this is a classic example of a middle-aged guy trying to make an "old school" song with youthful attitude and failing embaressingly. the attitude, lyrics, and execution is just so much "dorky dad rock" than punk attitude. an abomination.

A terrible hammy cliched track which sounds nothing like New Order. There is absolutely nothing good I can say about it, other than at least Rob Gretton wasn't around to hear this dirge. I think the QC went out the window at this point.

What possessed them to make a track like this?
