Best Bit: all of it
Worst Bit: that so many NO fans hate it
Love it caus: its not typical NO - has traces of JD but its basically a band getting down to rock & having a laugh

glad to see so many people still don't like RTS...
it's a fine choon...
I reckon that still makes me the president of the RTS Fan Club!
- Guitar Solo 2:38-3:20
- Never thought of that
- Great rock track with great guitar work, very unusal track (reminds me of Monster Magnet somehow)

Best: guitars
Worst: sounds like "love shack" by the B-52's everytime I think about the title.
Love/Hate: my neighbours daughter and hate the neighbours fucking dog.

- The drumming/electric claps before the guitars start, and that's all.
- Everything else, there's just no melody and the godawful forced 'am-er-i-cun-ised' vocals are embarrassing.
- Tired nostalgia trip for the band, not something they would've done for any of the other albums.
- 20% and that's being generous.

Replicating the sound of 1990s American indie just further displays how utterly awful 1990s American indie was.

The jing-jing-jing-jang-jang-jing guitars towards the end...
'I've been wide eyed but couldn't see'; coz I have trouble hitting the note

I love it- maybe it should've gone on Twisted Tenderness; would've fit better there. Barney must love it... - On 'SHOOT SPEED KILL LIGHT' with PRIMAL SCREAM nearly the exact rift is played by Barney...
78%, although I know a lorra people hate it

I was really disappointed by this song but then i got a copy of the Steve Lamacq Mix (thank you Rocket Mick) and this version does "Rock The Shack".
Its pure shite and is the worst song on Get Ready.
It just is not there usual style

I don't mind the "I believe in rararara bit but I hate the lyrics "Rock the Shack" I mean, please.
Always loved how Bernard replayed his own riff from Primal Scream's Shoot Speed/Kill Light for RTS.
I'm of the persuasion that "Rock the Shack" is not at all a bad thing.
- Either the opening or the "Shoot Speed Kill Light" solo (it's well placed, I think).
- Why did the extra lines from the first verse that appeared in the BBC version not get included in the album version? Also, it's kind of hard for me to accept a "New Order Featuring Someone Else" song. Do they need a crutch? (Hi Santana)
- I like Primal Scream, so I guess that's a good reason why I like this song. It's not typical of them, but several of their great songs are not. It sounds like a bit like a jam because it's loose and not polished, but the original "Temptation" is kind of a jam and not polished. There are lots of pieces flying everywhere, like that squealing noise in the Bobby Gillespie verse, but "She's Lost Control" (the 12" version) has noises coming in and out, too. It's a fine song.

BEST BIT a very very small bit Nice harder guitar driven piece. Timing for its release was, somehow, ideal.
Worst Bit. Rock the Shack 16 Times. Believe in politics. Believe in everything. Believe this world of ours is just a den of vice and sins. what.
Why what from Timbuctu to old Berlin. when I see an old man die just the way it is. 4. 20 % Same band that's given Crystal Regret Ceremony. Twenty Four Hours ?!
- Best: good guitars
- Worst: a bit too much like arena rock. The title/chorus of "rock the shack" is rather unfortunate. Otherwise a pretty good song.
- I like it because...of the guest appearances

1.The end 2.The beginning 3.It's not N.O..It's pretend someone else 4.10%
& that's all the comment it's worth

- the intro, refrain
- the chorus too repetitive
- probably their most rocking song (as New Order only)
- B+
Indeed*!*
best is the intro i guess
the attrocious lyrics
a totally lame attempt to make a Stooges style rock song. the song drags on and on. this is a classic example of a middle-aged guy trying to make an "old school" song with youthful attitude and failing embaressingly. the attitude, lyrics, and execution is just so much "dorky dad rock" than punk attitude. an abomination.
