Scolari and Deco are brazilians, aren't they? ![]()

England must be super happy with this one, there will be nobody available to play for either team at this rate

You mean, what's left of them ![]()
Ok, I'm rooting for En-ger-land from now on. Good luck!
Deco and Costinha out the next game, very possibly joined by Figo after the headbutt, plus the rest of the team are all on a yellow fucking card and Ronaldo could be out injured. How fucking jammy are En-ger-lund?
Holland were gash. Portugal were the better team on the night.
Have to say that was a classic non-league pub team game of two sides hellbent on kicking lumps out of each other, not a world cup game between two of the finest sides in the world!
What a disappointment. Right result on the night though.
so what's the crack with Figo then?? FIFA are going to look at the video this week and decide??
Well i wouldn't normally fancy us facing Scholari again but if half of their players are out.......
Feeling fucking sick here, please hurt those bastards next saturday. We're singing for ENGERLAND ENGERLAND
ps if possible break figo's leg
FIGO DIE IS GAY OLEOLE:D

wat, in Winschoot'n?! (ben verdorie in heiligerlee geboren
)
Yeah, Engerland from now on
Anyone understand the criticism of the ref? Normally we get "the ref needs to stamp his authority on the game", here he did but now the pundits are saying his early use of yellow cards is a green light for the players to dive and try get other players booked. ![]()

Nothing wrong with the ref, all the cards are justified, i wish'd i could blame the ref

Frank,
Brazil defeated England with just 10 in 2002 ![]()
I was beginning to think I was watching a hockey game more then a world cup soccer match with all the fouls and people being ejected ![]()

Don't the americans have the idea that soccer is a sissy game?
It was like Slapshot and WWF on grass with all the cheapshots and fakery. It actually was pretty funny to see Figo headbutt the Dutch player right behind the ref's back. Excellent highlight reel material.
Poor ref. Technically he should have given Maniche a second yellow for his goal celebration. Good thing he didn't cause Scolari's head would have popped off. Near the end of the match, it looked like Scolari was going to join the fray. Not the best reffed match in the world but it really wasn't his fault that it degenerated the way it did. I hope this means we'll actually get to see some decent football from here on out.

On Figo Dunno the fifa rules, by Dutch FA rules you can't be punished extra or harder after the match, when during the game the player already recevied a yellow card for that foul.
Surreal stuff... Ref didn't have a handle on the game and used the card as an attempt to assert his authority - backfired big style... In between it all there was some great football though and Portugal did deserve to win - the Dutch didn't look as if they had the cutting edge up front... Wonder what Ruud thinks of it all? ![]()

I know it's wrong and I felt dirty afterwards, but I actually laughed out loud at one of David Pleat's jokes last night, when he said he hoped Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink didn't get booked because it would add two minutes onto stoppage time.
I promise not to do it again, but at least it was funnier than Lawrenson's Sven inpression during the England game.
yeah, well if we have to put Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink on the pitch we are really desperate I can tell you. (Which you know you are going to be if you put a mediocre "striker" like Dirk Kuyt upfront instead of Ruud van Nistelrooy - who played bad in the previous games, but still you can expect more from him than that technically incompetent player with a stupid name -)
Anyway, I guess the old saying: "the dutch: always fighting among themselves but never on the pitch" after this game isn't really true anymore....
(would like to add i really hate all this foul play and fighting and frustrations etc. It's all so stupid and unnecessary... and a bad example as well.)

I don't know about yellow cards, but De Rossi got an additional three games on top of the usual one game red card suspension for his elbow against the US player.
British and Canadian commentators certainly made it sound like a suspension for Figo was a distinct possibility after FIFA officials get to review the video.

Sometimes, when player writhe on the ground in false agony after barely being touched, trying to get a call. Faking an injury should warrant a yellow card.
