man i hate the italian soccer team. that is really weird as i love all other things italian.

go germany. yes they still are my number one team. what a surprise they have proved to be so far. klinsmann's focus on fitness has payed off so far.

greasy and lazy. that's what one of the German tabloids has labelled them.

i'll be stickin up for Germany in this one anyway.

out the teams left, i'd rather Germany won the trophy.

Anyone but not the Italian mafiosi. Goddamn cowards. I bet they try to get penalties, and I hope the ref gets aware of that...

My dream final: Germany - France

i´ll go with the statistics that say Germany NEVER won Italy on World Cup matches. EVER. :nono:

You just say that because they kicked Argentina out... :p

A bit like Germany v Argentina this one.I don't like either team.Think i'll go for Italy. But then again it would be great to see Germany get to the final and LOSE .I'd rather see em lose in the final than the semi.

So who am i supporting tonight?? um, fcuck knows:scratch:

I am finally embracing my Germanophile side... And surely you've got to go for them simply because of the way the dumped Argentina out? No, ok, then... :thumb:

Hopefully karma will kick in sooner rather than later... Tomorrow evening, maybe... France - Germany would be a much better final - Portugal couldn't beat a ten-man, impotent England, they won't get past France... Now England are out, I want football to be the winner... (c) Cliches'R'Us 2006

Best game of the competition by a mile.

Commiserations to all the Germans on here - a fucking great performance and credit has to go to JK for standing by a lot of the young lads, maybe in 4 years time you will have better luck.

But Forza Italia! If only the Italians would play like that more often, so much better when they have a go at teams

A great game played in great spirit and to top it all the ref was pretty fookin good an all.

Cannae wait for the morra's game as well.

I've only tune in 1 min before the first goal, so I can say the game was pretty offensive

Nice goal indeed... and I had to appreciate the value of defense with the second goal, that's for sure.

Now the problem is, all the **** italians where I live will drive like crazy in the streets with their horns and flags... :nonono:

Some forgot they are Canadians it seems.

Thuram said that Italy would win in the last minutes of the game... and it seems he was true...

Sadly, he said nothing about France vs Portugal...

Italy and Portugal are very angry against France, that will be very very rough...

One last word about the match... Maybe one of the best match of the Italian team tonight... No cheating... or less than they use to... far better technically... it hurts maybe, but they deserved it...

Last opinion about the cup : Italia *** France * Portugal nothing...

I think I cannot help myself supporting the French but a trophy between the hands of a team without * is something I would like to see. So if France wins tomorrow, I hope they will win the cup. If Portugal does, I hope they will beat Italy...

Never saw many expressing themselves to be honest.

Although it's obvious we should cheer for them, but we understand that we're not french anymore

Was rooting for Germany, but not unhappy to see Italy win. Bit unlucky way to lose, so close to PK's, but that's the way it happens sometimes. Great match to watch, I'll definitely be cheering for France tomorrow.

Great game. Partly down to the ref letting it flow. Fifa will probably have him reffing Central American U21 games for the next year as punishment for not dishing out enough Yellows :\ohwell:

Was going for Germany, but Italy deserved it.

A quick word about Ballack.

Around 102 mins, he was involved in a supposed clash of heads. But Ballack went up with his forearm which smacked into the Italian and then Ballack went down holding his head. :nonono:

He should fit in just fine at Chelski

Making excuses because Canada is so bad at this ;)

If there was a game of Canada vs Italy, who'd you pick? ;)

I watched the game at the Fanmile in Dortmund. Before the game you can only see a few italians. And after the game it seemed to be, there are only italians in the streets. I think, Italien was a little bit better. Germany seemed to be tired from the Argentina Match.

Remis. Italy would slow down a little bit. :D

Great game... To reuse my earlier cliche - t'was football that was the real winner... Credit to the ref for letting the game flow, and to both sides for trying to win it by playing attacking football... Sad to see Germany go out, but just hope the final is played in the same manner...

Nice, stirring game!

Bit unlucky in the end, but what do you expect when the German team only wanted to get to the penalties in the extra-time, and the Italians really tried to win the game... That was the difference.

The ref really was good.

Worst thing was, that were I was watching the game they sold something they called "beer" but in fact it was cow's urine...

Feel a bit sick now, hope I'm up for Liverpool.

Fantastic game of football, probably the right result at the end of the day, but I have been very impressed with the way Jurgen Klinsmann has reinvented German football as a free-flowing attacking game. Excellent stuff.

Well, it was a hard fight. Weeks ago we lost 1:4 against Italy - so this was big progress. I didn't expect that our team would get this far before the WM. So congrats for a suprisingly good job.

And now it's up to France to win the trophy :) .

at least Jurgen acts like a coach on the touchline.

unlike that con-artist Sven.

shades of 82 again for Italy.

Do you think they'll be in good form to play the 3rd position match? :evil4:
