Oh, and if i was England manager, I wouldnt keep on picking someone like Defoe, who has scored 3 times in 19 internationals, 2 of which came against Andorra, and who cant get into the Spurs team.

Robinson, Gary Neville, Terry, Big Sol, Ashley Cole, Gerrard* Lampard, Carrick, Beckham, Rooney, Crouch.

*Gerrard to play on the left. He's supposed to play on the right now, and yet drifts inside so no reason why he cant play on the left and do the same.

Now, dont get me wrong, i dont think that Beckham should be automatic first choice anymore, he shouldnt be in the team ahead of Hargreaves, Gerrard, Lampard (and theres another one will NEVER be dropped, although he is in something resembling form now) Joe Cole etc.

Another thing. Bolton are second in the premiership (last time i checked i.e. last night) yet Nolan is never going to get a call up? We've got lots of injuries, and yet we're relying on proven failures and players who cant get in their club sides. Madness.

EDIT: And if Wayne Bridge was playing regularly, I would have him in the team. On the grounds that he's a defender who can actually defend. Wierd Concept I Know

Half the price of Erikkson? And a hell of a lot cheaper than Felipe Scolari would have cost. And i daresay a lot cheaper than when Wenger decides he wants the job.

And a lot cheaper than someone of the standard of, say Marcello Lippi would have wanted.

And, much less than a lot of the players are earning at their clubs, for not doing a great deal.

Beckham is very much yesterdays man - I would not include him in the squad. I would play SWP on the right wing

But SWP cant even get on the Chelsea bench most of the time! How can his place in the squad be justified? Is Mclaren so obsessed with media reports that he cares what Ian f'n Wright thinks? Because thats the only logical explanation for hsi inclusion in the squad.

What, so he had a dip in form last season? He's been brilliant for Portsmouth this season. And he must have about 70 England caps, so yes, I'd say he is International Class.
