big time new order/pet shop boy fan. have seen the boys 3 times, new order--ZERO! need to change that! living in south florida for 13 years, love it. Not part of the SOBE scene, create my own. send a note if youd like...enjoy hearing from others and talking about anything, as well as new order, and 80's music.

I actually had "confusion" on tape when it first came out, but did not know it was new order. About the time True Faith came out, I was in a club that was always playing that, plus all these other really great songs that were totally different than what I had ever heard before. When I asked friends, they told me the songs--and guess what, they were all on this great album called Substance. I was hooked. I bought all I could find on them, and then when I went to Spain for a few years, I was able to find all the other singles and imports as well. I fell in love with the artwork, the lyrics were not your typical falling in and out of love lyrics, they blend rock and dance together--love that! the song titles have nothing to do with what the song is about, they are low key and not plastered on tshirts and keychains and pillows. whew! i have yet to see them perform as somebody, somewhere, seems to be under the impression that there are not enough new order fans in the states to support a tour. california seems to get the bulk of it! how bout us southern boys!
