They where one of the early techno bands. I know bands like Kraftwerk where earlier but they just don't do anything for me.

New Order have a certain something which produces perfect indie pop

They are cool, coldly dismissive, and have some very impressive roots.

They also remind me of my student days, in Manchester, in the late 80's
