36 years old. My first record was "Heaven up here", Echo & The Bunnymen. I began to colect Joy division and New order by recording from radio and from (rich) friends whose parents travelling to GB buyed to us. So, i never was a punk, a left wing neither,but i liked the Clash from London Calling and Sandinista, and some noise from the Sex Pistols. Also I liked the Sparks and Duran Duran (because friends of mine). I had a radio program were i began to pass portuguese rock and pop. Then, i thought that it was time to grow up to Tom waits, Wim Mertens and so on. recently I discovered Interpol; flaming Lips and Coldplay. I'm unemployed teatcher (They don't pay!!). single, ecologist, sociologist, wright wing. Like Water,Gin Tonic, beer, Jameson, portuguese food. every Beckett work and plays. The cinema from Tarkowsky, woody allen and Magnolia. And i really laugh at the cinema in 24 hours party people with that story of the happy mondays!!(Tony Wilson what's bad with him? seem to me to be an ambicious guy out of his time, may be a lonesome genious). I´m also poet (?) painter, photographer and a digital musician ("Au.Ra Project" in the line of the Residents, Negativland, with a cover of "The Eternal", JD, non edited of course and in fastier speed, the double). My latest work is building a site were these matters appears. I found about 11 versions of "Love will tear us apart - there's a Polka version! The best is from The Swans, the curious is from BIS.

Dance, dance, dance...

Whem I was a teenager a spent hours with a radio listening charts. When i Listen "Transmission" (directelly to Nº1 Rock in Stock, Radio Comercial)i knew i found something: The sound, the lyrics, and mainlly, some meleancholy that gives the "aura" to the band. seems to me to be one of the most sincere band and art. I like also the art work of the records, i was one of the few buyers of procession/evryting's gonne green(...) enigmatic 7" that apears in the stores. It's some melancholy that "procession" reveals (and in some works of The Wake) and some brutatlity that makes new Order unique. And that guitar! and keyboards
