I've been a fan since I bought the 'Closer' album by Joy Division in 1980, on the basis of the cover art!!

Although doomy stuff, I liked it and have been listening ever since, and experienced the transition from Joy Division to New Order. If only they'd use a bit of mellotron now and again!

My first love, music-wise, is the early 70's prog-rock genre, yet New Order fits in quite well with this, I think!

I like the juxtaposition of doomy/gloomy vs. uplifting outlook. From the early days I like the musicality/listening aspects, yet I enjoy the dance tunes too.
