My sister was a big fan of John Hughes movies in the eighties and picked up the Pretty in Pink soundtrack. One of the tracks was New Order's Shellshock and it was one of the standout tracks IMO. Around this time, a local top 40 station called KITS gradually mutated into Live 105, one of the first "alternative/modern rock" stations in the US. They had a good amount of New Order on their playlist including Blue Monday, Confusion, Perfect Kiss, and Shellshock as well. I pretty much liked every single they put out then and since!
