Sigh...I recently went to the show at the Aragon Ballroom. It was most excellent. No offense to Mrs. Sumner, but BERNARD SUMNER IS A SEXY BEAST!!!! Hooky was awesome as was Stephen Morris and the other guy (what's his name?)

The opening band, Assassins, were cool as well. Need to find their CD...

10 May--You're gonna laugh, I just discovered, I mean REALLY discovered Joy Division. I've always loved Dead Souls, but only now just finding out that it was their song...righto, I've got to by Substance!

New Order, New Order, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... When I first heard Bizarre Love Triangle on the radio (the now defunct Z-95 in Chicago). I was 11. "Damn, that's a cool song..." Why I thought it was cool, I don't remember. I just liked it. Now, some 18 years later, I still think they are cool because they are always changing, yet always the same. You KNOW a New Order song from other songs. It's soulful, poetic dance-rock that can actually take you places that you've never been. From the sweet "Every Little Counts" to the pulsing guitar of "Crystal," I mean, WHAT?!?! I'M JUST HOOKED!
