I am and always will be a fan of this band! I believe there are may fans who are also Depeche Mode fans as well. Saying this, I believe the last album released for each is not even to be compared. In my humble opinion, "Get Ready" was a triumphant return because they have clearly "grown up" without compromising the style which has made them pioneers in alternative music. DM on the other hand has unfortunately not progressed nearly as well. I would implore the band to diligently market their future endeavors w/ more fanfare then was given to "Get Ready". I believe it was a tragic mistake not to have done this with their last record, as their are so many potential new fans out there who were not given the opportunity to sample this great work of acheivement! I was originally attracted to heavy metal but was disenchanted with the lyrics in general. Then one day before tennis team practice, a friend of mine was listening to his headphones and tapping his pencil to the beat. I asked for a listen and the rest was history!! The blend of thought provoking lyrics AND a good beat was too hard to ignore!
