Robert Armitage

I work as an Engineer at a turbocharger plant in Huddersfield. I like to travel,ride my push bike and listen to music.I like concerts, festivals. I saw New Order at the Finsbury park festival which is excellent on DVD by the way (can't spot myself on it though)

I first heard the track Shellshock on a compilation album I had and I kept playing it and that track really got into my head. I then went and bought the Brotherhood LP and I was hooked. They were so different to any other bands that I was listening to at the time and I found the artwork of the sleeves so intriguing. I kept finding their similar looking 12" singles in record shops and even though they didn't say what they were, I knew they had to be New Order. I soon had a collection of 12" singles and then I started to buy their previous albums and I found that each one is different but excellent, apart from Movement which I don't play as much as the others.I guess I've grown up with them and they are my favourite band by a big margin.
