Anthony Wilson will return as a TV presenter

Wilson started his journalistic career in the 70s as a presenter for the station, before quitting after the success of his Factory Records label which spawned bands including Happy Mondays, Joy Division and their successors New Order.
However, Wilson, whose life story was played by comedian Steve Coogan in the recent Michael Winterbottom film '24 Hour Party People', is to co-host the station's 6pm evening news, according to Mediaguardian.
He commented: "I feel like I've never really gone away...Being asked to present the show again was a bit like the chance conversation that brought Eric Cantona from Leeds to Man U, and for me, just as wonderful".
