EXCLUSIVE: NEW ORDER ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED IN SUMMER 2001.
In the meantime, Warner/Reprise will be launching an official New Order website (http://www.neworderweb.com). The site is said to be expansive, including catalog and new material, plus hopefully some rare and/or unreleased mixes. The site will be online at the end of January. We will announce the official address as soon as we learn it.
New Order's new album will be the first since 1993's Republic. The band has written 17 tracks since its members began to work together again in 1998. They are now currently recording at Real World studios in Bath, U.K. So far, two tracks are said to be completed: 60 Mph, which was mixed by David Kahne and produced by Steve Osbourne, and Crystal, Mixed by Mark "Spike" Stent and also produced by Steve Osbourne.
Long-awaited tracks such as the remixes of Young Offender, which were never released, and the infamous Temptation 98, only available on a rare London Records promo CD, could be released either as B-Sides or through the new website. Stay tuned for more informations.
