There's an article on the Steinberg website (makers of Cubase) that goes into programming the synths for the Get Ready Tour and how the original Joy Division tapes were flaking, apparently they had to be baked prior to being transferred to a digital format. Anyway check it out I think it partly explains them sticking to the set list, they just didn't pre-program any more songs.
