"TO SÉBASTIEN, ALL THE BEST, BERNARD SUMNER"

Thank you very much for your wishes Barney, because we will need them. It took a long time, it was hard, it was painful, and we could certainly have waited longer to launch this, but New Order told us that we should "Get Ready", so we are: here is NewOrderOnline.com, version 2.0, and it has a lot of nice features for you, the users.


Here are a few examples:

• A new server. Hopefully, the connections problems we've been experiencing for months will be history;
  
• A complex database system on which the whole website is now based. This offers a lot of possibilities for the future.
  
• A website registration interface. Fan Club and website members will be able to subscribe to the website by themselves, automatically... and therefore, the members of the Fan Club can now modify their profiles (including pictures) all on their own.
  
• A brand new forum interface (about time). From now on, only registered users of the website will be able to post messages on the forum. It gives us a better control on who is posting on the forum, and gives every user the insurance that no one else will be posting under a false identity. Also, there will be no need for the users to enter their names each time they post a message like they used to -- it will be done automatically.
  

Plus :

• The TOURS & CONCERTS section is now opened! Come by and share your New Order concert experiences with us by sending your own reviews of the shows you've seen (note: the "add a review" function will soon be available). NewOrderOnline wants to be the ultimate place where New Order fans can exchange on New Order tours & concerts.
  
  
• We will, over the next days and weeks, be adding more than 2000 pictures to the site. This task being a tedious one, it will be done on a daily basis, over a few weeks, and so will the development of the multimedia discography.
  
  
• We now have an efficient news system. Be sure to let us know if you hear or see anything related to New Order!
  

So, to celebrate the launch of this new version of the website, here are a few "candies" we have to offer you, all available in the audio archive of the multimedia section:

• The first of the "NewOrderOnline Mixes", an EXCLUSIVE REMIX of Thieves Like Us, made by JohnB, at our request. This "Stolen Mix" of this old New Order favorite will certainly interest a lot of people. Speaking for ourselves, we think it's a very nice one. We'd like to jump on the occasion to thank JohnB for his time and efforts, and invite everyone to check out his other cool remixes of Tori Amos and Garbage, among others, at http://remix.inmyhead.net;
  
• Another NewOrderOnline Mix, and yet another remix of Blue Monday: DJ Microflip`s Going Nowhere Remix. This one is both bizarre and cool at the same time. You will certainly want to listen to it, as it sounds different to the other remixes that were made for Blue Monday before. Thank you Microflip!
  
• A huge MegaMix by DJ Lex. So big that it was cut off in three parts. This is probably one of the bests, if not the best, megamixes of New Order ever made. For other DJ LEX's work, please visit his website at: http://www.djlex.com.
