~ Chapter 7: New Chapter for ACJU!! ~
For those of you wondering how progress is for my JD fan fic 'A Closer Joy Unknown', good news: I just finished Chapter 17!!
Sooo, for your viewing pleasure...
~ A Closer Joy Unknown: Chapter 17 [[And They Left It For You.] ~
*continuation of Chapter 12, and resuming the story as normal*
~ Ito glared at Gillian, who herself had a dark glare aimed at the evil General of Scarr. Setsuna stared in shock while the band tried to hurry to the Princess to tend to her. Ito, however, kept his gaze to the youngest of the lot, who drew back the sling of the slingshot, armed with a strong smooth stone, aimed at the demon's forehead.
'Now' Gillian said cooly, 'are you going to leave us alone, or will I have to use force for you to leave?' Stephen watched with worried eyes while Bernard helped Setsuna up. Hooky tended to Ian's wounds while Ian watched Gillian and Ito.
'You...' Ito tried to respond, but to no avail. He was quite taken aback from the shock of Gillian's bravery. With that he raised his sword as Gillian let go of the sling, the stone flying through the air. Setsuna and the guys gasped quietly in shock when the stone struck its target.
Bloody hell! Bernard thought, she got 'im, nice shot! He grinned to Stephen. 'She's a sharpshootin' punk!'
Stephen grinned back. 'I know. I'm a lucky dog.'
Ian and Peter just rolled their eyes.
'DAMNIT!!' Ito growled when the stone struck his forehead. He touched his hand to where the stone hit, and saw that he was bleeding from the wound. He glared at Gillian again and aimed his sword, this time taking off to charge at her.
'GILLIAN!!' Setsuna shouted, throwing her own sword Shouriken at her. Stephen quickly turned to watch his girlfriend versus the demon, round 1, kickstart into high gear.
'Thanks, Sets!' Gillian replied as she made a mad dash for the sword and, with a swift tumble, grabbed the sword and quickly got into battle stance. Swords quickly collided when Ito swung his sword at her. Gillian, however, would not yield to his maddening whims, and fought back bravely with the sword.
The two dueling unaware, Stephen grabbed Gillian's slingshot and some stones that fell out of her pocket. Taking a deep breath he placed a stone in the sling pocket of the slingshot and drew back the sling, aiming for Ito. I can't miss this shot he thought to himself as he carefully aimed for Ito's head.
As the duel continued, Gillian fought galliantly, and without any showing of slowing down. All went well until, unknowingly, she tripped on a fallen branch behind her and fell backwards, dropping the sword unexpectedly. She looked up at Ito, who was about to strike her down with his own sword, and it looked like the end for her.
Except, a stone flew right at him, piercing him in the side of his head.
With that he glared at where the stone came from, Stephen standing boldly with the slingshot. Ito quickly decided to dash against Stephen. But Gillian, not backing down, quickly grabbed Shouriken and, with a swift might, charged after Ito swordpoint first. She let go of the sword and kept running for the gang as the sword pierced Ito through the heart, stopping him in his tracks.
'What the hell!?' Ito started, stunned entirely by what had happened. He glared at Gillian as she reached the group, realizing quickly that his end had finally come.
'Sets!' Bernard said, glancing to her. Quickly she nodded and struggled to stand, opening her Crucifer locket to reveal the StarCrystal, and a tiara formed on her head. She raised one hand to Heaven, her other hand extended towards Ito, and spoke the spell for sealing away his soul in eternal damnation--
AWAY WITH YOU, DEMON CHILD OF HELL!!
ANGELS' WRATH SHOWER!!
A portal to the depths of the Lake of Eternal Fire opened and swallowed Ito, corpse and soul and all, to its final resting place in the sea of undying flames.
'Oh my God...' Gillian spoke watching all of this. 'That's... that's amazing, Setsuna!!' She glanced to the Princess, as the tiara faded and Setsuna gradually returned to normal, but was worn out.
'Princess?' Ian spoke, but Setsuna's eyes were in a glazed stare, her look of lost identity, because of the momentary merge between the Princess and the future Empress. Ian glanced to the others, who had concern on their faces themselves.
'What the--' Bernard spoke as the Princess slumped backwards. He caught her just in time, but she was out cold. Quickly carrying her fragile body in his arms, he glanced to the others. 'I say we get inside fast,' he spoke, 'and tend to our wounds as soon as possible. I doubt this battle's over yet.'
'That and' added Peter 'she still has to get home. Now with the death of Ito, wouldn't Scarr be pretty mad?'
'You think?' Gillian thought out loud.
'Come on, guys!' Stephen called out to the bunch, already halfway to the apartment. He kept running as the rest of the group caught up with him. ~
*EXTRA SIDE NOTE: The entier story so far is up on the Steve's Angels site, on the A Closer Joy Unknown forum. I do recommend reading the cast list first though, then the Prelude and then continuing with Chapter 1, and so on. Warning: this story got from odd normal to odd wierd...
But it's all in good fun though. And don't worry, I welcome comments too.
Until the next round [and possibly the next chapter]--
