Music that I associate with certain novels and/or stories (Edition 1)

The Great Gatsby---F. Scott Fitzgerald
Music- 'Tonight is Forever' by Pet Shop Boys

I seem to think of Jay Gatsby's gala soirees when I listen to this song. However, it's generally his guests, rather than Gatsby or any of the central characters that come to mind when I listen to this song.
The guests believe that Gatsby's soirees will last as long as the money lasts.
They hold the belief that the night will last forever, as the champagne glasses are being passed round, the hor d'oeuvres are devoured, the foxtrots danced, and the rich---the nouveau riche as well as the ones with old money, spend their time at such parties.
The guests---too many that one cannot remember their surnames, are just as careless as Daisy and Tom are. Yet, Nick Carraway can see beyond Gatsby's (perceived) role as a modern day (1920s) Trimalchio.
