New Order Release Remastered Best & Rest Compilation
New Order have reissued their two landmark compilations from the mid-'90s together for the first time, with newly remastered audio. The reissue spans multiple formats including Abbey Road-mastered vinyl, and adds a 3LP version of The Rest Of that finally compiles all 12 original songs on a single format.
For the first time, New Order have brought together The Best Of and The Rest Of, their acclaimed 1994 and 1995 compilations, in a newly remastered edition. The collection features fully remastered audio and expanded remixes, with all vinyl formats cut at Abbey Road. A new 3LP configuration for The Rest Of brings together all twelve tracks from the original CD and vinyl release for the first time.
The Best Of, released in 1994, compiled the band's most iconic singles with 7" mixes and four newly created '94 versions, including 'True Faith', 'Bizarre Love Triangle', 'Blue Monday 88', 'Regret' and 'World in Motion'. The Rest Of followed in 1995 as a companion remix album, reimagining the band's catalogue with contributions including Hardfloor's 'Blue Monday-95' remix. Both albums reached the UK Top 5.
