Lime Garden recorded a cover of New Order's 'Age Of Consent' at Abbey Road whilst working on their forthcoming album 'Maybe Not Tonight'. The Brighton band had previously performed the 1983 song at a Manchester headline show in March, and their studio version strips back the original's driving energy to align with their own signature sound. The choice reflects New Order's deep influence on the band: as frontwoman Chloe Howard explained, 'We love how they meld guitars and synths to create an "alternative dance music" sound. Gillian Gilbert in particular is a huge inspiration in terms of her songwriting and those electronic melodies.'
