Damn. Last Saturday I was cruising up and down Pacific Coast Highway (inbetween cheap Mexican beers as a passenger)singing Femme Fatale with my friend awaiting the best music fest of the year. Now I am back at home listening to kids scream and my wife yelling at them while I fumble thorugh my cds.
Note that Heaven Up Here by Echo&Co was released in 1981. Shit, that seems so long ago.
Hopefully next year I will be in the same state of rem,orse after flying to the UK to see New Order.
Sometimes I take the long way to work (an extra 5 miles) just so I can enjoy a small stretch of Highway 1.
There must be somewhere in Iowa that you can recreate your P.C.H. experience?
Generally Monday nights are my bike riding night. This is my real escape although we ride about 30 miles and visit one bar, usually carry extra beer and party favors to help us along. But, alas, my riding partner's wife just had a baby and he must work. then again, we got in big troubl;e while drinking in June. His wife was upset when he puked on her in his sleep. So we have been keeping it below radar avoiding alcohol and just sticking to party favors. Our last ride was alcohol free. We suprised everyone by making home before the sun went down. Sometimes we get back after midnight.
Planning to take over concert dvds to their home. Thye need to see NO and the Cure live.
