the SoCal/welcome to san diego, tristan/etc... thread

so we don't fill other threads with off topic jabber, this thread is to serve all individuals with a means of asking SoCal/San Diego oriented questions. (i predict this will be buried down to page 3 in a half hour, unless KP & Julio choose to hop on with a bunch of shit talk )

so to answer your question tristan, i live pretty close to both USD & SDSU. south of USD, west of SDSU.

i'm originally from around sdsu, across the 8

yay a Socal thread, now hwat can I really talk about Socal that interests me... Nothing much except that I plan on crossing the Albertsons picket line for about the tenth times

What parts of Socal are not on fire??? Damn there are some fires in SD county, the big Grand Prix fire, and one sprang up in Simi Valey, which is just a few minutes away from where my family lives in Chatsworth; I do not know whether the fire is in the part of Simi closest to the Valley; I sure hope not.

the fires aren't to far away from me...guess the only good thing to come out of it are the surreal orange skies. ha, i can't believe you're still shopping at albertson's man! at least go to the next supermarket over so the striking workers at yours don't know! hehe

The worst thing about the fires is the endless fire coverage on all the local channels, so I do not get to watch any football games :(

that's not what I meant, but it's that there are so many local channels here in SD, and they do not all have to be covering the same info.

I'm down with the Pimp in the Box. I've been to two Texas tour stops (Houston and Austin). He's really pretty funny in person.

Sorry to bust in on the SoCal "hiz-ouse", but I like Jim Rome as well. Very entertaining radio show, considering my alternatives are "classic rock" with a heavy dose of the Eagles and Skin-nerd, college radio which is always iffy, and a "new rock" station which I set as one of my stations simply because it occasionally plays some Radiohead (but not often enough).
