:cry: Age Discrimination

Damn I wanted to go to see Echo and the Bunnymen play a venue in downtown SD on Nov 4, but I have to be 21, and I am 17, this ruins my damn morning. I look older than 21, maybe I can get some form of fake id b4 then... Being too young ruins many things, I can't wait till I'm 18 in November. Woohoo Lottery Tickets!

I believe it's in some bar on 4th and B, but hell this is the only decent concert going on down here for a little while; I do want to see qotsa, the white stripes or afi, for obvious reasons

That really is a pisser indeed, I had to miss the Bunnymen, U2, and Madness when they first played in Portland cause I wasn't old enough either to get into the bars.

That's turning off future patrons who now will seek out other bars for alcohol. But if you must, get a fake ID...or say you're with the band, either one might work

echo and the bunnymen in chicago is 18 and over. i dont get that at all, it is at a venue that has an all ages licence, but the show starts late so it might be a curfew thing.

You have just realized the first ugly truth of san diego: you have to be over 21 to get into anything good. san diego county is VERY strict when it comes to all-age liscencing. in los angeles, there were many clubs that could serve alcohol and have 16-21 year olds in the crowd. down here there is NO mixing of the two at all. the cops bust the venue owner's balls! so you are left with a few options for live music:

i would suggest a fake ID. i missed loads of shows because i didn't have one when i moved down. caffiends
