Doesn't seem any different, does it ? I can just about remember 30.......but had to re-endure it recently as it was Karen's 30th. She was petrified !

I remember making a big deal when my mom was 40, but I was really young then, I was 5, but I still taunted my mom :D, but I did not bother her for her fiftieth birthday, now that's the most depressing one for women; menopause, children off to college, work sucks, husband still sucks, ...

Did you feel any different the day you turned 30? Did you have an early mid-life crisis? no? Enjoy getting older, be proud of it. :thumb:

Fifties are the realiztion of one truly being old, so crises erupt, yet one's sixties are an embrace of one's age; my grandparents had a gran time in their sixties, for they constantly travelled, worked, and lived life to its fullest.

My Dad just turned 57 (he looks 45, so people always think we are brothers) and has gone on a 3 month holiday to America and Europe. I hope i'm like him when i reach his age.

OK, you got me there...

Actually, I feel the same as I did at 30, or maybe even younger.

Most of the time it depends on your circumstances rather than your age.Sometimes GREAT....sometimes DULL.But life goes on and guess what...even in my 40's NEW ORDER are still brilliant. My only advice would NEVER wish your time away, stay calm, relax, don't worry about MONEY(cos you can never have ENOUGH),try to enjoy each day as it comes. And if you are doing a JOB you hate then CHANGE IT.Don't waste time doing crap you hate.Fun is the key and even now life can be a ball.At the moment i am having a DULL time, money is tight BUT it ALWAYS gets better. So have a beer, chill out and remember sometimes being 5 was quite tiresome.LIFE is what you make it.Pity i screwed up some of the time but i couldn't do any other way! Regards ROCKET MCIK...see even now i can't spell my bloody name.IS THERE ANY HOPE?:D

It's almost 4 years since I hit the 30 mark. Can't say I noticed any differences, except people going on about it like my pension cheque was just around the corner. Also references to my greying hair became more frequent, but the "follicle colour alteration" began when I was 16, so not exactly news. Oh yeah, and being presented with a birthday card by one of my mates in the pub that read Happy Birthday Grandad.

Conclusion: reaching 30 seems to be more of an issue to everybody else.... so let them worry about it! As the saying goes, you're as old as you feel.
