Not sure if any of you are fans of Sarah's, but her new record came out last week (7 years after her last true release). IMHO, the record is very predictable and too low key. Unfortunately, she didn't take any chances with this one - which is when she is generally at her best. Too bad really.

You hit the nail on the head. I was subjected to it in my girlfriend's car on a recent roadtrip.

Which tracks is she on? I have Head Down and Yeah Whatever, but never noticed her.
She was on a record by an "industrial" band called Manufacture. Nettwerk wanted her to be the lead singer of the band, but she turned them down. I used to have the record, but never thought much of it.
Big McLachlan fan since the Vox single way back when. She's definitely gone the "adult contemporary" route with this album sadly. Lyrically, it's fairly classic Sarah (tho I read that she relied on problems/issues her friends were having since she was in a good place emotionally with her hubby and new baby).
But musically, this is a bland record. Sad that after all this time, this is what her fans get.

I've been a fan of hers since Solace. So its very disappointing to admit that she seems to be catering to the "AOR" crowd. Reminds me of too much of the path that Sting's career has taken.
