In the eighties my favourite tipple was Holsten Pils, inspired by being New Orders fav ( apart from Pernod ).
However Stella became my fave mid nineties.

Nice question, Mike, and a nice avatar (as usual). We're off to Cumbria tomorrow to sample my favourites, Coniston Bluebird and Barngates Taglag, while watching the rugger. And no, I'm not a member of CAMRA. Cheers!
Quality Aussie Shiraz and other fine wines. When I go to the pub it tends to be Stella or something similar, depending on what they have on tap. You don't see Holsten on tap very often these days.
Pub : Stella, Guinness or Strongbow depending on mood
Home : Champagne or White Zinfandel wine
Tonight I've been on the Stella all eve (big thanks going out to Devastating Dave whose texts kept me sane during a rather laborious Bootiful Sarf set at Shepherd's Bush).
Last night really went to town though - couple of bottles of Pinot Grigio in a bar off Hanover Square then off to NOOL's favourite boozer in Soho to sink Stella and watch the Welsh get done by the Ruskies, then off to the Astoria, a nice table in the Gods, right by the bar, and a few cans of Strongbow (not sure what came over me, but it appealed at the time).
Lucozade and coffee was order of the day first thing this morning though!
Pub: Fosters followed by a strawpedo of Reef (Me? A student?). Stella/Snakebite if I'm on a mish (most days, every weekend).
Home: Fosters, JD & Coke.
Always being tempted by bottles of Pernod when I'm doing the rounds in Sainsbury's... Maybe one day my brain cells will be as finely honed as Barney's.
pub: if at a whetherspoons pub, double vodka/redbull (correct mix, half can of rb to the double or i go hyper). whatever is available in this order: hoegarden, leffe, staropramen, holsten export, stella, kronenburg, guiness. or a bottle of white wine
home: pints of voddy/orange (which causes serious rear end action the next day after 2 litres of orange juice with bits in) (plus the vod I drink is tescos finest range. stronger at 43% and tastes like smirnoff black label and a damn site cheaper). copious amount of southern comfort (a bottle lasts a weekend. and i dont get drunk on it). then anything from: duvel, hoegarden, chimay, westmalle triple if i can get it, leffe (triple preferably), holsten export, theakstons old peculuar (chilled, why i dont drink ale in pubs. i like everything very cold), white lightning, homebrew (leffe brune style with extra sugar for more kick), white wine (i know a lovely desert wine, very sweet i love it).
these days it needs to be over 5% to even have any taste for me.
i have now been sober for 2 days and im gasping for a drink. trying to cut down at perhaps eat healther as well. i reckon units wise ive been 3x the recommended dosage for a good few years now.
you know its bad when you lie to your doctor :)
okay...remember...I live in the states...and I can't get my hands on Stella in this region...hell...I can't even find any Carlsburg...did I spell that correctly???I know we drank a bit of that in Seattle...
so I've been doing the Foster's Bitter that Greenie introduced me to in Seattle...but it's often sold out when I get to the store...so then it's Bass...or Harp...
or if I'm too lazy to get to the proper store...I'll make do with some absolute piss...bud light...

Anyways, I bought one yesterday, it's not bad, but I still prefer Heineken... sorry :D Maybe I didn't get enough, but it tastes pretty much the same as Beck... 
I know we are lucky in Quebec because we have lots, LOTS of importation, basically in wine (you can find wine from almost any country on Earth!), of course it's more expansive than in France, but still...
But come on, it's seriously something you can find everywhere ;)
I doubt it's because Belgium is a partially french country, but still.. Land of the free still have a problem to give freedom of choice?

Fortunately since moving to Oz I`ve lost my taste buds, so drinking the local cold stuff VB is bearable and has the required effect. At the Rugby the only beer on sale is Heineken! taste buds or not... its foul.

In the US, but... Quantity tipple? JW Dundee's Honey Brown, as made by Highfalls Brewery. It's cheap (12-packs can be had for less than a buck a bottle) and hits the spot most of the time.
QUALITY, though? Man, I love a good beer. Harpoon's been doing a 100-barrel series that's only available in the Boston area that knocks my socks off every single time. Their Wit was brilliant, and the current Amber Ale has a nice spicy finish. Their UFO is my favorite summer beer, especially with a nice squeeze of lemon.
Nothing different here than from what's already been listed; glad to see you've taken a taste for the bitter Jeff Out this way, I like a local brew called Black Butte Porter.
The clubs that I've gone to in the past have never had any cider, not that I've seen anyway, so I tried some Strongbow in Seattle, which I liked.
Still have lots of brain cells, it's not the alcohol that's killing 'em fast, it's the other parts of my life :)

Heineken Cold Filter is still only about 4%.
