Too small for the Davis Cup tennis trophy, but they probably won`t win that either:D

Quote of the year from Robert Mugabe;

Lashing out at criticism by Australian prime minister John Howard, and mocking the country's history as a British penal colony, Mugabe said Howard was "a product of genetically modified criminals".

In your face.

Australia wins the Davis Cup.

Didn't take us long to replace one high-profile world trophy with another, now did it?

Make the most of it, lads. These moments are few and far between for the English.

Tennis isn't exactly a man's game though is it?

I mean, could anything be camper that the Henman air-punch...

Since when was huddling down amongst your mates' ass cheeks the height of manhood, Bluey? Whatever gets you through the night I guess.

It's funny, all that time I was in England I could never find a local to talk about rugby, or cricket, or tennis, or anything other than football for that matter. Now everyone's interested all of a sudden ;)

To be honest I wasn't that fussed about the whole WC loss. We put up an honourable show against a better team, well, better man at least.

It truly was getting tiresome flogging England at everything. The competition is most welcome.

I'll admit it it, I completely jumped on the bandwagon...

We're so used to failure, you see.

I'll forgive you this once, cheeky bugger.

By the way, cheers for the bottle of wine you sent. Quite a fruity drop and extremely rare, I hear. Soured though with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Think it may have been in the cellar too long.

Bloody Australians!

You have scraped the bottom of the dirty tricks barrel to win the Davis Cup, let the whole NOOL world know about this:

First they make us play on grass, fair enough, not nice or sportsmanlike but fair enough

Then they stage a pantomime opening ceremony playing an obscure Spanish song from the last century instead of our national anthem. Next year we'll play "There's a long way to Tipperary" when you are visiting us.

They show off their mating habits bringing their inflatable dolls to the stalls. Spanish players naturally gobsmacked loose concentration.

Philipoussis stages a very suspect injury to break our concentration.

All that is disgusting and very unbritish. Your Soveraign Queen Elisabeth must be horrified, and what would the Viceroy had thought!

Just joking of course, well done lads. :)

Yes that whole anthem thing was a massive diplomatic gaff wasn't it Buddy boy... Ooops!

:o

Forget A Long Way to Tipperary. If you want to humiliate us next time, dust off some Jason Donovan.

Anyhow, we owed you one!

You're right, I've never known anyone express the slightest interest in rugby, nor does it seem to get a lot of media coverage, but now that we've actually _won_ something its all over the place. I suspect its mostly media hype...

... is it true that anyone who's been vaccinated is GM-ed?

So now we're having a victory parade. Let's hope its not like our other recent victory, and we find the thing's still going on after we've supposed to have 'won' it.
