well...wasn't a bad day at all...I got another couple of penguins to add to the collection, including a lovely crystal one....a new order poster that I once owned, but have not had in years...one of those x-box things...

but the best thing by far...a loverly 24 bottles of Stella that my youngest sister somehow managed to get her hands on...seeing that it's not sold here in Texas, I am very impressed...saving those up for bringing in the new year...:clap::clap:

I got 200 dollars in cash, and tomorrow I should get another 80 dollars, but in gift certificates.

I got two CD's (New Order - International, Radiohead - Hail To The Thief). Three books (Michael Moore - Dude, Where's My Country, Zadie Smith - The Autograph Man, Kurt Cobain - Journals). A new mobile phone and a bottle of vodka, yum.

2 black bermuda pants (one doesn´t fit!) and one black no-sleeve t-shirt. period.

oh, i almost forget: Talk Talk - The Colour Of The Spring on vinyl. i bought it on my own but my girlfriend insisted in paying for it. that way she got away with it and didn´t have to think of a present. clever, ah? :brow:

Nought, since traditionally here in Spain we get our pressies from the Three Wise Men (Los Reyes Magos) who come on the 6th of January. However I did get the best of presents just before Christmas in the form of a new job which will allow me to blow the hugest of raspberries at the face of the slave owner of a boss I have. Good riddance to me then!

Jeffsy, would you care to elaborate on the penguin thing?

A Gold Crucifix, Ceremony t-shirt, Green & White Lambretta T-shirt, Starsailor CD, Calvin Klein Boxers, shitloads of smellies.

All in all quite a good haul this year, obviously the Ceremony t-shirt takes pride of place!

I was at a party at ma Grans last night with all the family, and my Uncle Johns missus Lorraine got a t-shirt made up for their youngest wean, wee John is only 2, and the t-shirt reads "My Dad Loves New Order" so of course we had to get a picture with the three of us for the site, whenever it's developed I'll have to put it on here:D

Budvar...I will elaborate on the penguin thing...

I collect them...well, not the real ones...that would make the place even smellier than it already is!!!

I have penguin cookie jars, salt and pepper shakers, figures, towels, stuffed animals...heck, I even have a penguin shower curtain...oh, and the best one is the 6 foot tall one that was on the patio...

I guess you could say they are my second obsession!

Nothing, as of yet. Although my mother did make me breakfast and dinner and my sister ceased bothering me for 24 hours.

yes, of course! ;) now, TheColourOfTheSpring record.... i really liked It´s My Life and I LOVED Spirit Of Eden. TCOTS seems to be in the middle, not so great on the pop and not so great on the experimentation IMO. like always i need to listen it more but that was my first impression.

the usual stuff that mums get, frilly knickers (from my mother in law  ), bottles of wine, a top that doesn't fit (Derek seems to elude himself into thinking I'm still a size 10). Anyway, for me Xmas is more for the kids and they got loads! If they're happy, I'm happy ;)

a few DVD's (Aguirre, the Wrath of God; Ravenous), a few books (Love in the Time of Cholera, The Monk, Maldoror), some socks, some printer paper, a few clothing items, an REM cd, and a few other small items.

monopoly: the LOTR version. i'm debating whether to nerd it and wear the one true ring or use it for the 'special rule.'

Mostly practical stuff, like clothes and a hand vacuum, the only carpet in this house is on the stairs. Got the Johnny Cash Unearthed box set, which is rather good; great duet with Joe Strummer on Marley's Redemption Song, and as a present to myself, I bought the DVD of Jimminy Glick, and finally, after years of searching, found a CD copy of Y by the Pop Group, though it was the expensive Japanese import.

After more than a couple of brews, I'd imagine. I think maybe the mayor of Portland, Vera Katz, is one of 'em, but I've not seen her in person, only on TV. ;)
