I was liggin 'round Scotland in the eighties with Big Audio Dynamite, and the rider usually had cans of beer featuring topless/bikini clad girls, what I need to know is,am I losin it memory wise or do these cans exist ? The beer could've been anything, it was free and me and our kid aint fussy. P.S. Our kid remembers them but that hardly helps

Cans of tennents lager (if i recall correctly) used to feature different named ladies all dressed rather tantalisingly. Nice stuff when your a twelve year old..........:love2:

I went to see BAD in 86 when they came up to Edinburgh, great gig i recall. Remember rather embarrassingly badgering Donovan whatever his name was for an autograph in the street. Great times.....

Nice stuff when you're a twentyfour year old, still I probably had two cans. Dan Donovan, he was probably happy to be asked, nice fella, nice sister ( Daisy ), lovely wife Patsy; me and our kid offered her some Manc action but she declined, bit later she marries a Gallagher

T Lager alrighty:nod: When we used to travel upto all the games when we were weans, we always used to enjoy trying to get a wee drink of beer off of our family - the trick was, you had to wait for them to get pished. Then it would be a case of "You two can share that can" I think they stopped advertising with the birds on them in about 93. The bird in the skimpy blue dress was always my favourite....I think her name was Linda:D

There was some really crap American beer (not always a redundancy, y'know) ;) ,sold about 10 years ago, called Nude, that was sold in bottles. Label had a scratch off feature for the beauty pictured.

Sadly no, forgot to add that the babe was "wearing" a bikini top that one could scratch off, like a lottery ticket.

What about that dark blue Motley Crue beer that turned people's shit dark blue?

Really, hadn't heard about that one? I'm sure most of the Crue-ton fans thought that was hilarious in their drunken stupor (oh wait, that's their normal behaviour).

Reminds me, I bought and ate some Boo-Berry breakfast cereal last year, and mine turned green from the food coloring in the damn product. :dead:

That black licorice (sic) ice cream is so full of dark green food coloring, it'll do that too.

An afternoon in the Brazen Head ; Dublin drinking Guinness achieves black ,I dont know if this is a local phenomena or not, when drinking Guinness at home; either from the can or pub, no significant stool shade change is noted . Perhaps the Irish remove something from the brew before export ,possibly to discourage Goths from ' How black is mine dark stool, far darker than thine ' type situations.

Or possibly not.

P.S. That motley beer, still legal ?

No, it happens with real Guinness in England as well, if the drink comes from the two taps with different pressure heads. Not that you find many pubs with a decent pint of Guinness in England.

True enough, decent Guinness is hard to come by over here, though Longsight in M/cr is reputed to have a coupla decent places. Barmaids in my local always try to pour it at the same speed as lager which is bad enough, but then spendin ten fuckin minutes tryin to draw a shamrock in the head is takin the piss

Way too close to a furniture based forum , stool. May invite chintzy types with pattern books, very argumentative types

Good point! Well then, have any of you ever noticed what happens after eating beets?

Sugar beets , breakbeats or beetroot ? If it's beetroot, does it involve the colour purple; possibly prince .....stools. All three ?

Two nations separated by a common language.

Probably what you call beetroots. Turns urine and stools red. First time I saw that red urine (as an adult; never liked beetroots as a kid), I thought my life was about to end.
