No, not a cry for help at this time of a Friday night (although I could do with one, a girl, not a cry that is). More of a philosophical question if you like. My point is: Surely statisticians have been lying to us all this time. Supposedly the population of any given country is more or less evenly divided between males and females, with some slant if anything towards women. Well then...where the heck are they? We all know how few girls take part in this forum. You go out to a club and after one o'clock all you can see are seriously ugly drunken males fighting each other over very few girls who end up snubbing them anyway. Politicians are always talking about promoting the access of women to Parliament. Positive discrimination policies are being implemented to get more women elected, ditto for the judiciary. We know that due to the glass ceiling they are not warmly ensconced in the boardrooms of Fortune 500 companies. There are not enough painters or writers who happen to be feminine even if some do look effeminate, posssibly to redress the balance. A good place to look for them should be the army where whole battalions of females could pass unnoticed but we know that only very recently have they been allowed in the barracks and not many of them have gone for it. Most Churches would not have them as priestesses and from what I hear catholic nuns' number have been steadily declining for the past 20 years. So they are not at the nunnery either. Despite the House of Saud best efforts harems are largely a thing of the past and even at their peak they cannot have hold the millions of women that are missing from the books. Rocket Mick has had a few but more or less in succesion so he does not have them either.
Now, seriously, were are they!
