Might as well go for Carolina, though I don't mind the Patriots at all, though New England will probably win in a defensive battle, just damn glad the Rams didn't get anywhere near.

Just got home tonight and saw that Spike TV is gonna have some pregame shows about Sports Illustrated swimsuit models, quite sure that'll be more interesting to see rather than a lengthy rehash of the minutiae of each team, which'll already have been covered to death in the press.

Nic, the record for the Pats is incorrect, they are now 16-2 for the season.

I'll be rooting for the Panthers, since all I hear on TV is how good the damn Pats are.

Really don't care too much. Have not watched a single NFL game this year. Was hoping the Chiefs would have done better.

Cheering for the Panthers.

Unfortunately, my boss's boss invited me to his home for a SuperBowl party. So now I will have ZERO fun during the game. rather watch it in a bar or at my hippie friends' houses.:nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono:

Down here in "Panther Country" (gaak), I know either way I won't be able to escape the amount of news coverage touting the team as super-incredibly-great (which they have been this year, mind you). That sort of last-minute piggybacking is always so forced and clear to everyone that it just disgusts me :nonono:

So part of me wants the Pats to win (to shut up all the sudden "Panther lovers") and part of me wants the Panthers to win (to shut up all the chowder-heads in New England). Part of me wonders how bad the commercials will suck this year :D .

the commercials will be the highlight of the game, especially looking at the musical line-up for the game :barf:

Wait, wait, don't tell me: Journey's Steve Perry and Englebert Humperdinck in an emotional duet dedicated to those brave Scrabble champions who left us this past year :p

Nah, I'm guessing Pink/Christina/Jessica/Britney/insert name of other shitty singer here  (not that Steve and Engelbert aren't shitty)

I agree...who really cares. But since the Niners ain't even close to the SB, I just gotta have some reason to get outta bed that day.

Personally I want to see the Patriots win, just to make up for the torment the Red Sox inflicted on us not so long ago...

And I have to say, the commercials have become awfully disappointing lately, basically since the "dot-com" bust... And what happened to the Bud Bowl? :p

The Pats, somehow or other, just look to be unstoppable at the moment. Hence I have to vote for them in a "who will win" situation...

However, if it was who I want to win, then I think it'd be nice to see Carolina win. Not that I have anything against New England, indeed I cheered quite vociferously for them against St Louis a couple of years ago.

I just hope it's a good game, as I have taken the following day off work in order to sit up and watch it! (And drink...)

While I agree with the sentiment, t5here's no way even a Pats landslide stomping could completely make up for the Sox loss last October. That said, GO PATS!

even though i don't like american football, i'm rooting for the pats, since bill belichik went to my high school and we've got to keep it in the family.

as for the halftime show, it's janet jackson, p.diddy daddy puff diddy, kid rock, and nelly.

Think I heard Janet Jackson was gonna perform, but I hadn't really paid too much attention as to who else might join in.

reckon I'll just do the work thing tonight then...:skeptic:

I think The Panthers will win it tonight. I feel that they are in a similiar position that my Baltimore Ravens were a few seasons ago. No one is really giving them a chance, and the team has something to prove.

well, the Patriots won so I chose the right one! and i don´t know ANYTHING about this game, mind! :D

Well, I wanted the Panthers to win but... We fought til the end!

the kicker. goddamn would i hate to be a kicker for an NFL team. i feel bad for those guys. but still, kickers get paid millions, the least they could do is keep the ball in play during a fucking kick-off.
