There was a hilarious skit on In Living Color (I think) where this guy went to work in Brown's studio, and James beat the shit out of him. Fantastic stuff.
Let's see, Strom Thurmond and James Brown are the two most famous South Carolinians (we fight with NC over who gets dibs on Andrew Jackson, but I guess he could count as well. Two racists and a wife-beater: yep, SC's doing pretty well in the nation's eyes by that reckoning ![]()

Yes, but in comparison, Philly has a myriad of rap "artists" - like Beanie Siegel - coming out of it who all get arrested for drug possion and wife-beating at one point or another.
