PC & 600k Broadband - as the ntl newsgroup retention on binaries is absolutely shite (just over 24 hours if the posts were complete), I have to pay the $12 a month to giganews, so 1 Meg wasn't worth paying for, especially given giganews' retention period

PC midband.. ;) (256 kb). Must be hell with dial up. That's one of the reasons why an E Mail digest would be fair. Or the best would be a Usenet newsgroup with the messages, so you can keep the thread the same as here, but I guess it's not easy to convert the messages of a web forum into a digest or a newsgroup...
