I bring this point up because when I went to work today, I was told to go to a room in the back of the store where we have a TV-and-VCR combo set up to watch a video.
The circa-1987 VCR already had the tape in, so I turned on the circa-1982 TV and watched a really boring-ass monotone bastard (I think he was one of the big management guys in W-D, though I couldn't be bothered to learn his name or title) go on and on about how upset the company was with the "4th-quarter sales". :sleepy:
I was called up to the front before I could finish the very exciting film, but from what I managed to stay awake for, I inferred two things:
1.) The company is trying to improve its performance this time around
2.) Stores that perform below the desired expectations (read: my little store) will probably be shut down :D
So, based on what little I remember about this video (trust me, it was a stunner
), I was wondering if I should start looking for a new place of employment (or wait til the store shuts down and draw unemployment
). What do you lot think? ![]()
