President Vladimir Putin & Bernard Sumner

So what's the common between Putin and Sumner? I tried hard! Here it is:

1. Both were born in the 50s.
2. Both were born in brother-cities (sister-cities), namely - Manchester and St. Petersburg (by the way Hamburg and Seattle are also brother-cities to St. Petersburg officially).
3. Both had something to do with Germany (Barney's first nickname, though it came from a copy machine / Putin's secret service as intelligence officer in Germany)
4. Both became famous their own ways.
5. Both try to keep looking young so they are trapped by time already.
6. They are still acting now..... I know it's all weak..... but I just wanted something of the kind....

You forgot the most obvious connection:

They are both carbon-based life forms.

They both have hair, they both have teeth, and they both like the early works of David Bowie but lost interest around the time "Modern Love" was released
